The Relocation division is seeking to add a Relocation Business Development Manager to work with a pre-existing book of client business relationship to expand the relocation service delivery. The Relocation Business Development Manager will work closely with the representatives of the organization with existing client relationships to develop the strategy for growing the existing book of accounts and securing new relocation business opportunities. Collaboration and partnership with the representatives will be key to the Relocation Business Development Manager’s success. The position is located in Roanoke, VA, with relocation support provided for the candidate chosen for the key position.
The position is also responsible for working with the current Account Manager to manage a client portfolio, grow sales and manage vendor performance. A licensed Realtor with an active license in residential and/or corporate relocation management with a proven track record of positive sales performance is required. Due to the ESOP status of the organization, there are stock options granted to employees of the organization which makes this career opportunity even more attractive.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Soliciting sales leads using various sale techniques
- Present Relocation Program to clients and determine the design that best meets their needs
- Complete responses to RFPs
- Finalize sales process to obtain business
- Develop sales and marketing programs and assist sales personnel in implementing
- Participate in trade conferences and organizations which allows us to contact companies which have need for relocation resources
- Assist with implementation of relocation programs after sell
- Assist with Relocation Specialist Responsibilities:
- Initiate transferees; identify services available in compliance with corporate policy
- Conduct a thorough needs assessment
- Provide guidance and advocacy throughout the relocation process
- Facilitate all services by assigning appropriate vendors
- Follow-up with client, transferee and vendors throughout the entire process
- Foster long-term relationship with clients
- Provide account updates to Account Manager as needed
- Prepares for and contributes to regular client review meetings
- Provide sales support for Client Corporate Representatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent, CRP preferred, Virginia real estate license or ability to obtain within one year of employment
- Two to five years' experience in domestic relocation
- International relocation experience desirable
- Supply chain management experience preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet customer and client needs
- Ability to work independently with solid decision making skills regarding policy creation, recommendations and creation for clients.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities, comfort with a fast-paced environment and flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
- Proven track record in developing new corporate relocation accounts
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in IT applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point & Excel)
