EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – SHARED SERVICES
Sterling, VA
Our client has created a new executive leadership position in its corporate US headquarters in Sterling, VA. This key leadership position exercises significant responsibilities interacting with business unit leaders and for the performance of each shared service organization. Ensures continual business practice improvements and innovation and automation of support services while ensuring proper FTE allocation. Areas of responsibility include compliance, HR Services, Finance & Accounting, Information Technology & Automation, Marketing & brand awareness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Business Administration (BSBA) or advanced degree
- Must possess solid business administration skills and strong corporate business acumen and negotiations
- Quality assurance and management
- Cultural awareness and change management skills
- Economic principles – financial and managerial accounting
- Business law and contract administration experience preferred
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Technology proficient
- Track record of success facilitating progressive organizational growth and development
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- The ability to effectively interface with senior management, board members, and staff
- Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
- Demonstrated problem solving and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial ability to develop alliances and coordinate shared interests of all partie
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instructional leadership to shared service executives
- Developing and implementing aspects of the corporate strategic plan
- Developing or reviewing administrative policies
- Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Ensure support service operations are integrated, efficient, sustainable, and compliant with all relevant regulations and corporate growth goals
- As an agent for Corporate Compliance, responsible for regular reporting to the board and senior management on the operation and progress of compliance efforts
- Proactively identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution
- Assists with the development of staffing strategies and implementation programs
- Conducts thorough and scheduled review and evaluation of systems and processes to ensure efficiency and proficiency across the enterprise
- Evaluates overall organizational performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Ensures proper functioning and integrity of information technology systems
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, conduct annual performance appraisals as required.
