GLOBAL EXPENSE ANALYST / FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

Our Client, a highly regarded global third party organization is searching for the most highly qualified professional to fill a key Global Expense Analyst / Financial Specialist role in the organization in the headquarters located in Dallas (Plano), Texas.   The position reports to the Manager, Expense Processing.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Global Expense Analyst / Financial Specialist is the financial control point for all file (transferee) related disbursements including but not limited to expenses and vendor invoices.  The Global Expense Analyst / Financial Specialist must have a broad understanding of accounting concepts and principles, must be comfortable working with and applying policy concepts, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, manage to deadlines, make effective business decisions based on factual information, sound logic and common sense, demonstrate knowledge of and support Company vision and value statements, policies and procedures, privacy, security and confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior. 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Review all employee expense reports and vendor invoices to ensure compliance with client and policies, procedures, practices and relocation tax laws Responsible for daily processing/monitoring of international payment activities, as well as problem resolution with international consultants. 
  • Understanding of international bank payment management systems.
  • Understanding of country specific payment processing requirements.
  • Maintenance of international disbursement related process documentation.
  • Auditing global employee expense reports for mathematical accuracy and policy adherence.
  • Ability to interface with internal Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Global departments.
  • Ability to understand international currencies/exchange rates/differences/look-up requirements etc.
  • Ability to use technology in translations, when required. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills, unrelenting attention to detail with excellence on accuracy.
  • Code all expenses related to client and policies, procedures, practices and relocation tax parameters
  • Perform detailed audit of all file related expenses
  • Analyze submitted expenses related to client relocation policy
  • Prepare transferee communication when items are deducted from pending expense reports i.e., adjustment letter
  • Communicate with Service Delivery personnel on items to be paid outside of policy
  • Escalate problematic file related situations and issues to management for review, recommendations and/or resolution
  • Research and/or respond to inquiries pertaining to policy relative to expense management
  • Code and review travel requests
  • Process stop payment requests
  • Initiate and setup collections
  • Monitor status of outsourcing files; follow procedure to notify Financial Assistant when ready to close file

 

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree or

Equivalent combination of experience, skills, training and education 

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

● Minimum 2 years experience in an international relocation accounting environment or 3 years in a multi-location, multi-client high volume transaction processing environment, especially with Accounts Payable knowledge

 

● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Word and Excel and Outlook; knowledge of other software packages i.e., AREV and Solomon is preferred

● Able to confidently communicate/interface with colleagues at multiple levels across the Company and others dictated by job and business needs

●Broad understanding of accepted accounting concepts, principles, practices and processes including but not limited to relocation tax laws as applied to expense disbursements

●Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, analyze and apply policy concepts

●Attention to detail and accuracy

●Deadline and time sensitive

●Ability to make effective business decisions based on factual information, sound logic and common sense
