Domestic Relocation Counselor

Our client, a global third party relocation provider is seeking a Relocation Counselor to service transferees from a remote/virtual work arrangement.  The Relocation Consultant is responsible for ensuring a positive relocation experience for the transferee by managing the day to day administration of assigned client relocation programs which include but are not limited to, coordination, approval and management of service deliverables, overall communication between and with transferees, colleagues and service partners and clients, management of benefit and service costs & expenses, and file and data management.
The Relocation Consultant is responsible for managing the entire relocation process with the transferee and must be experienced in the homesale process (BVO, GPO, etc.), eleven step process, BMAs, appraisals, homemarketing and policy counseling.  Experience also with managing policies for multiple corporate accounts is preferred but not required.
Provide a positive relocation experience to/for each transferee; is responsible for a large volume caseload
●Learn and understand assigned clients’ relocation programs including all policies, processes and practices; clients with multiple policies and complex services offerings i.e., full home sale and capped programs which include development and management of budgets
●Communicate changes and modifications with client programs to Operations Managers and all  colleagues following established procedures; document in appropriate information systems as required
●Communicate the relocation road map, providing a comprehensive explanation of the relocation process, policies and practices to the transferee
●Communicate directly with client on a regular basis; make policy decisions and offer recommendations
●Is knowledgeable about service partners; serve as primary point of responsibility and coordination between service partners and transferee; includes but not limited to real estate and related industries, transportation and storage companies, lodging and rental car companies and any other non-routine service partner(s) as required by a particular situation
●Manage all data pertinent to each transferee’s relocation file; document all relocation activities and transactions in the appropriate information system
●Understand and manage costs and expenses connected to relocation deliverables, maximizing the full intent of the benefit while minimizing expenses and costs; demonstrate ability to develop and manage budgets and capped programs
●Understand and manage Consultant reports, demonstrate ability to analyze/interpret client/transferee reports and to mentor others on all aspects of reporting
●Able to successfully mentor other Consultants on various topics
●Direct day to day activities for assigned Associate

Bachelors Degree or Equivalent combination of experience, skills, training and education

● Minimum 3 years experience as a relocation consultant with experience working in a remote/virtual arrangement
● Must have real estate license
● Must have CRP designation
● Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of domestic relocation;
● Service and customer centric
● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Word, and Excel and databases; knowledge of additional software packages is preferred; proficient with internal databases
● Able to confidently communicate/interface at multiple levels with transferees, clients and service partners
● Adept at interpreting, applying and communicating complex policies and service offerings
● Excellent negotiating and persuasion skills
● Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
● Calm under pressure; well developed conflict management and consensus building skills
● Deadline and time sensitive
● Able to self direct and self manage
● Cost, expense and budget sensitive
● Able to make effective difficult business decisions based on factual information using good logic and commons sense
The Relocation Consultant must have comprehensive knowledge of domestic relocation as it pertains to policy interpretation and application, must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple clients with complex policies and service offerings simultaneously, build trust through relationship management, manage to deadlines and budgets and rely on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals, demonstrate knowledge of and support Company vision and value statements, policies and procedures, privacy, security and confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
