Our Client, a highly regarded global third party organization is searching for a qualified professional to serve as a Vice President, Business Development for the Mid-Atlantic / Southeastern US. This position is a key sales position for the organization and the VP will be closely tied to the relocation industry along the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern Coast, have a track record of sales performance in international and domestic sales with clients from Washington D.C. through Florida and be a driver of success for the region. The geographic territory for this position will include Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Washington, DC and additional states to be identified. The preferred location for the Vice President, Sales will be in a virtual office in the related geography.
Responsible for identifying and pursuing business development opportunities and selling the Company’s services to increase revenue in domestic and international relocation services.
Conducts research and identifies appropriate sales prospects within assigned sales region.
Establishes and maintains relationships with strong prospects and existing clients within assigned sales region.
Takes an active role in the transitional process when bringing new clients on board.
Takes a leadership role in developing, writing, and delivery of proposals, especially relating to “specialized” bid situations.
Tracks all activities and prospect updates in SalesForce.com.
Coordinates and leads sales presentations to prospects as necessary.
Participates in Company functions designed to educate employees and clients.
Uses Company resources to the greatest extent possible to ensure a professional, unified appearance and to avoid presenting conflicting or unclear sale messages.
Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, the company vision and value statements, policies and procedures, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
Achieves annual activity and revenue objectives as established by the company.
Position may require travel of 50% or more of work hours.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related field.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five years in the sales profession, and a minimum of two years specifically in the relocation industry. Must have highly developed skills in prospecting, developing and maintaining client relationships.
Must have thorough knowledge of relocation services, industry policies and practices, as well as best practices in sales and business development. Must have specific knowledge of Company’s services.

1. Ability to understand client’s needs and address those needs with appropriate service offerings, particularly in the development of proposals and pricing documents.

3. Exercise independent judgment to determine work goals, follow-through and completion.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proof of the abilities will be reviewed during the interview process.
